The description of this blog is anything the subject of Art may push to the surface and validate for discussion. Specifially related to purchases if possible.
Some thoughts are philosphical and are simply a self study or a commentary.

Cleverness, tribal laws, and coupling, stay around forever - otherwise there would be no procreation. but it seems to me these days, objectively speaking, here is too much emphasis on emotion and body consciousness. Intellect and the art of reason is a notch above the pick your goods and pay, and leads to spirit awareness.
All Love is actually a spiritual (invisible to our physical eyes) emotion, the reflection being the attempt to reach more of it through forcing the bodies sometime referred to as our donkeys, to go there to grasp the essence of a loving experience - addictive because we taste higher love - it serves to reminds us of our original state of bliss.
Hardly can we raise the mortal body that is terminable to the height and expansion of the (invisible to the physical eyes) soul and spirit form that pervades body and is the motorisor of form.
Procreation is such a gruesome undertaking, that only with the borrowing of love from the universe, can we bear the strain of what ensues afterwards.
A momentary pleasure for a few seconds or even minutes, leads to a lifetime of duty.
We share, long for, and sustain love, as far as possible, in everyday life, seeking dedicated partners.
This seeking and finding, losing and hurting, then seeking again, is reminiscent of the desire for never-ending love. nature of soul or spirit. (unseen with the physical eyes) true nature of form is spirit within with which to identify, rather than temporary illusion of face in mirror.
Prolonged, forever love, cannot be manifested for long periods by bodies which are finite - our soul spirit shapes change according to our thoughts and when we lose the coat of the body, we are form created by thought entertained, this is the scary part, because we are not aware of our thinking, let a lone controlling our mind.
True-love is raised, from within our compassion. Attraction-love is based on appearance and compatibility, perhaps memory, but does not last in every instance, as factors whch created it diminish if not nurtured. When neglect of virtues ensues, courtesy is forgotten, and love dies.
Civility and morals are to promote qualities which attract Love.
Love multiplies and compounds its virtue of carefree happiness with meeting of likewise tuned souls and can direct to the eventual state of trouble-free motoring in immersing into origination of finer self.
From friends I need encouragement to this end, rather than fuel to feed the fire of my hard reacting and angry self, I want to leave 'fyting' behind in the graveyard of hate, and fly on the wings of forgiveness.

Hi, and congratulations on the opening of your gallery!
From visual arts you can detect the mind-set and the area atmosphere, if any, of objective consciousness and for want of searching for a better term, Good Will, towards all.
Often what one can see, is the limitations artists impose upon themselves and make a gallery into a court of judgement as an extension of inflexible thinking.
Then of course there are the true and innocent renditions which although naive, relinquish a feeling of sweetness, also an extension of the painter.
I guess I am a bit of both, yet try to encourage the innocence.
Universal feeling is freely available and the shade tree does not choose on whom to cast its shadow. Sometimes we succeed and sometimes we failin our quests, but one thing is certain the view point that we are all the same is a truly enlightened perspective.
I try not to highlight the mistakes we make or the world will be one ongoing movie house.
However some images, although well executed and displayed accurately, belie our involvement in a major mind game which it seems by our subscription thereto is ever ongoing, and so it was since the befinish of time and the wrestling for control of one specie over another. It is important to remember as far as memory serves, that our cells are changing every nano-second, and we are not the same person or entity, from moment to mile.
All the cells in our brains have changed many times within a day.
So to capture something we think we see, saw or think of, we are still living in the past, and our hangup remains that: Our hangup.
So therefore I have coaxed myself, to looking within at the fast moving changes and adjustments that take place in every new realisation which can be fast and furious and or slow, depending what we feed ourselves.
I can, figuratively speaking, eat breakfast or lunch in a gallery and not miss the garlic.
Sometimes I get cheesed off when things don't go my way, but I try not to put this over onto those innocent of the game I play. Which of course, is sticking to my guns.
Besides doing the dirty work for so many, one does tend to bear the tarnish brush, but not being written in stone, these debts 'become ended' too, in this temporary world of opinion and ego.
There are so many beautiful efforts out there, that one can only
herald the true artist within all of us!
Regards,
Patti.

:
Blessed, Blessed am I, that my God is my Spouse,
Within whose Court Ringeth the Unstruck Melody (of the Word).
Night and day, I abide in Joy, hearing ever the Music of Bliss:
Yea, no more in this state is Pain or Sorrow, neither birth nor death.
It is so late an hour to break this old news, but as the saying goes, better late than never.
I feel so enriched by Master Ching Hai. Her validation and example is so bright and shining in my mind, it was like finding a mine full of treasures when I was referred to her websites.
All is well, and the whole world is in His or Her hands.
As long as we have the Saints, that is!
Blessings and Goodwill to All for now and forever!

Was my face red. Ever so embarrassed. - A love that can raise itself to any level of worth, in this day and time is an exception. What man, woman, dreams, and sings about is very elusive. Always in the here and now, is not supposed to mean instant gratification, but awareness. For instance that love begins and ends with the form is a fallacy, because love is an essence of well being that is not visible except by expression and deed.
We all, one and the same, go through chapters in our life's journey, in order for the soul to progress, which is a human condition. On the other hand pseudo love is regretably relegated to strategy - to my mind, and so many innocent souls are sent full stream ahead into a vortex of pain which could have been avoided. The onus of the extra suffering being generated is promotion through media, which always appears to be a real good deal.
Of course the world, run by economics and politics has its effects on anybody that does not obey the rules at lest for the best part of fifty years. Further back than that, I cannot begin to imagine.
Realisation of a higher authority than earth/maya's jurisdiction, allows any thinking person to become known as a Seeker of Truth.
So if to love, is to love all without exclusion, the brains and the butt, for want of a better word, is all that we have recourse to, then so be it. In the wider scheme of events, who wants to want to challenge the proven course of success on earth?

Having tried to access the site from a different computer, I have realised that having password protect on the pages is limiting, and I could not gain access therefore have opened all the pages so that viewers may freely browse the site.

Art in the Claremont Park
Why not have Music in the Park?
A beautiful venue, central and conducive, complimentary to Kirstenbosch, it would be great to have Classical and Alternative live music at Art Fairs in the Park as well as under its own category.

With Reference to the Johannesburg Art Fair currently being planned for opening on 4,5th April 2009, (Weekender Newspaper, Saturday, Sunday March 28th and 29th 2009) - I take inspiration - to suggest, stemming from a recent visit to the Claremont Botanical Park Heritage Site, - to potential Sponsors and Art Professionals and Amateurs - to showcase their works under a banner of the previous Art in the Park theme that has been run quite successfully to the best of my knowledge in Gauteng in previous years.
The Park is neglected and overgrown to a large extent and the pathways are cracking up under foot, as well as the duck ponds being rather stagnant and polluted.
It appears that funding for maintenance has been redistributed in other areas, and it is a shame to see such a glorious heritage being spoiled for lack of upkeep.
In researching my thoughts as to what those who may feel concern could contribute, I seem to think that an art fun in the sun establishing, could do some good and bring revenue and interest to the Southern Suburbs Botanical Park, neglected also because of the new interesting built up corridors for shoppers at nearby Cavendish Square and The Link Malls, which are also a drawcard for Saturdays and Sundays and would definitely assist a strong feature of interest on Tourist maps.

Emerging into a painting journey ~ a diary of making form on a flat surface with components of colour.
Being detached helps to identify affection and fellowship.
Ego gets in our way ~ preparatory work has been done to begin.

Is it natural to want to harm a living creature for our palate? How does it make one feel? " Little children cannot stand it, - have we hardened ourselves so much in this warm climate where food grows so easily? To kill a chicken, go and do it where no one sees - " - The only problem is, wherever we go, the chicken sees."

The first way to alleviate poverty is in the concept. If something is not up to the standard of pristine-clean-and-hardly-green; it does not necessarily have to mean immediate poverty. Poverty of spirit feeds a greater lack than material poverty.
